Terms of Service

Last updated: Jul 31, 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account on DistributeMusic.AI you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) and have the legal right to upload and distribute the music you submit. Accounts found in violation may be suspended.

3. Content rights & licenses

  • You retain 100% ownership of your masters and compositions.
  • You grant DistributeMusic.AI a non-exclusive license to ingest, encode, deliver and report on your tracks to DSPs (Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, etc.) for the duration of distribution.
  • You can take down your tracks anytime — takedowns typically reflect on DSPs within 7–14 days.

4. AI-generated music

If your track was created with an AI tool (Suno, Udio, MusicGen, ElevenLabs, etc.) you must enable the AI-disclosure flag during upload. We auto-tag this in the DDEX delivery. Failing to disclose may cause DSP takedowns; you accept full responsibility for accurate disclosure.

5. Voice cloning & rights

If your track uses a synthetic vocal cloned from a real person, you must have written consent from that person on file. We may request proof at any time. We will not distribute tracks that infringe third-party rights (copyrighted melodies, unauthorized samples, voice clones without consent).

6. Royalties & payouts

  • You keep 100% of streaming royalties on paid plans (85% on the Starter plan).
  • Withdrawals minimum: $5. Methods: PayPal, Stripe Connect, bank transfer (Wise).
  • Withdrawals are reviewed by our finance team within 3 business days. Approved payouts arrive in 1–5 business days depending on method.
  • If a payout request is rejected, the amount is refunded to your royalty balance immediately.
  • Tax: we issue a 1099 (US) or equivalent annual statement once you cross $600/yr.

7. Plans, billing & refunds

Plans (Pro $20/yr, Label $50/yr) are billed annually via Stripe. You can cancel anytime — your releases stay live. Refunds: full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not yet released a track and your account is in good standing. Accounts terminated under Section 8 (Acceptable use) are not eligible for any refund, regardless of when the payment was made.

8. Acceptable use, enforcement & no-refund policy

Zero-tolerance policy. The following will result in immediate account termination with no refund and forfeiture of any pending royalties, regardless of your subscription tier or how long you have been a customer:

  • Copyright infringement — uploading tracks that contain any copyrighted material (samples, melodies, vocals, instrumentals, cover art) without a written license.
  • Impersonation — releasing music under another artist's name, ISRC or UPC; using another artist's cover art, brand or likeness.
  • Undisclosed AI — failing to enable the AI-disclosure flag on AI-generated music, or misrepresenting AI-generated audio as human-performed.
  • Voice-clone abuse — cloning a real person's voice without written consent, deepfake political content, or non-consensual likeness use.
  • Streaming manipulation / royalty farming — botted plays, click-farms, playlist-payola schemes, hundreds of near-duplicate uploads, or any attempt to game DSP payout formulas.
  • Platform rule violations — any conduct that breaks Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok, Amazon Music, Deezer, Tidal or any other DSP's Terms of Service, Content Guidelines or Ingestion Policies. If a DSP flags, strikes or bans your release, we may terminate your account.
  • Abnormal or fraudulent activity — chargebacks, stolen payment methods, fake identity documents, tax-form fraud, multi-account abuse, VPN-hopping to evade suspension, harassment of staff, or any use of the service that a reasonable person would consider abusive, deceptive or malicious.
  • Hate speech, CSAM, terrorism, doxxing — reported to the appropriate authorities and permanently barred with no refund.

Refund forfeiture. If your account is terminated for any of the reasons above, you agree that:

  • All subscription fees paid (past or current) are non-refundable. The 7-day refund window under Section 7 does not apply.
  • All pending, unpaid royalty balances are forfeited to cover investigation, DSP takedown, chargeback and legal costs.
  • Your releases will be taken down from every DSP we distribute to, without notice.
  • We may report the violation to the affected DSPs, ISRC / UPC registries, PROs and — where legally required — law enforcement.
  • You are permanently banned from opening a new account under any name, email or payment method.

Termination is at DistributeMusic.AI's sole discretion. We are not required to provide advance notice, evidence, or a right-to-cure for the violations listed above. If you believe your account was suspended in error, you may appeal by emailing appeals@distributemusic.ai within 30 days — appeals are reviewed at our discretion and do not guarantee reinstatement or refund.

9. Termination

You can delete your account anytime from Settings. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms — for the violations listed in Section 8 termination is immediate and without notice. For all other breaches we will typically provide email notice and a reasonable cure period. Pending royalties owed under a good-standing termination remain payable on the standard schedule; royalties are forfeited under Section 8 terminations.

10. Liability & warranties

The service is provided "as is". We are not liable for losses caused by DSP delays, takedowns, or third-party failures. Maximum aggregate liability: the fees you paid in the prior 12 months.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be emailed to you with 30 days notice.

12. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA. Disputes: binding arbitration under JAMS rules. Contact: legal@distributemusic.ai or contact form.
