| Platform | Per stream (USD, avg) |
|---|---|

| Apple Music | $0.008 |
| Amazon Music | $0.006 |
| Spotify | $0.004 |
| YouTube Music | $0.003 |

These are averages — your actual rate depends on listener country, subscription type (free vs premium), and pro-rata calculations.
Does AI music earn less?
No. Per-stream rates are identical for AI and human-created music. Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal pay you the same $0.004 whether the song was generated by Suno or recorded in a studio. Where AI music sometimes underperforms is discovery — fewer playlists curate it actively (yet).
How DistributeMusic.ai pays you
- 100% royalty pass-through — we take zero percentage of your streaming revenue. Our revenue comes from the annual plan fee ($0 / $10 / $50).
- Monthly aggregation — DSP reports arrive ~45 days after the month ends. We import them automatically via our distributor partner.
- Withdrawal — once your balance hits $5, withdraw to PayPal, Stripe Connect, or bank transfer (Wise) from the Dashboard.
- Pre-saves — fan-link campaigns drive first-week streams which Spotify weights heavily
- TikTok push — even $0.0003/use adds up if a sound goes viral
- Playlist pitching — DSPs let distributors pitch up to 7 days before release
- Quality, not quantity — 1 great Suno track > 50 mediocre ones
Splits with collaborators
If two artists co-created the track (even if one of them is an AI tool), you can set up royalty splits in the Settings page. We'll send each party their share separately — no Excel spreadsheets at year-end.
Tax
We issue a 1099 (US) or annual statement (everywhere else) once you cross $600 in earnings in a calendar year. Royalties are taxed as ordinary income in most jurisdictions.
